We saw over 150 entries from 12 countries submitted to be considered for our awards and, as our judges commented again this year, 'you do not make it any easier'.
Now we are ready to open the Global Light Rail Awards for 2024 and you won't want to miss it.

The Global Light Rail Awards are a celebration of excellence across the light rail sector, and, as we enter our 18th year, we are looking to enjoy our biggest award ceremony yet. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce a new location for the awards - The Bloomsbury Ballroom in London.
With its high ceilings, lavish decorations and marble entrance - this location is perfect to host the industry's 'Oscars' and to celebrate, reward and recognise the best in the sector within its very glamorous halls!

For 2023, the expert judging panel deliberated over almost 100 entries across 17 categories, noting that “this is yet another tough year to select the winners from so many excellent entries. There is so much sparkle between them and so many interesting and innovative things here for us all to take away; it really is inspiring.”
Organised by Mainspring and supported by Tramways & Urban Transit, our host was once again respected broadcaster and journalist Nicholas Owen. The headline supporter was London Trams operator Tram Operations Limited, with category sponsors from many disciplines across the sector.
