TfL Commissioner has the 2022 Dinner at the Roundhouse in his diary – do you?

Andy Byford, Transport for London Commissioner, is lined up as this year’s keynote speaker for October’s Dinner at The Roundhouse – the UK rail industry’s favourite networking event. Held at Derby Arena, the date for your diaries is Thursday 20 October 2022.

Andy brings with him a wealth of experience in the transport sector, having has held some of the highest-profiles roles in the industry. Starting at London Underground, he held management positions at South Eastern Trains and Southern before becoming the highly-acclaimed CEO of the Toronto Transit Commission and later the President of the New York Transit Authority. He returned to the UK in 2020 to take up the role of Transport for London Commissioner.

He also recently hosted Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the formal opening of London’s Elizabeth Line in May, a £19bn project that will transform the way the capital moves in the decades to come.

Over 680 guests in 2021 – our largest audience to date – celebrated collaboration and innovation in the UK’s fast-moving railway sector, bringing together operators, manufacturers, constructors, consultants and partners from across the supply chain.

This year we are delighted to welcome Porterbrook as the host for our pre-dinner reception once again, as well as the support of Derby City Council, Ford & Stanley, Arriva Traincare, Wabtec, Tecforce, CoMech, GOS Tools and Engineering, the Rail Forum and many more.

Dinner at the Roundhouse is also about demonstrating the generosity within the railway sector. To date we have helped to raise over £140,000 for charity, proving our sector’s incredible power to drive change and help those in need locally, nationally and around the world.

With almost 450 guests already confirmed for this year’s event, we look forward to seeing you all later in the year – so mark the date in your diaries, 20 October 2022!
