Last week the UK Government announced that business events will be able to take place again from 1 October under COVID Secure guidelines, subject to successful pilot schemes in the coming weeks.
While many of us have been participating in ‘virtual events’ for many months now, there really is no substitute for the interactions and networking opportunities of physical gatherings. Of course we understand that returning to events may not be for everyone at this time, although we have been inundated with organisations looking forward to attending events in a COVID Secure manner. For those not wishing to attend in person we are planning to have some virtual aspects to allow as many people as possible to take part.
For the past few months we have been working with and supporting venues, event organisers, suppliers and trade bodies from across the sector and must pay tribute to the tireless efforts of so many organisations in lobbying for the long-overdue changes that will allow us all to get ‘back to business’.
Such close collaboration will hopefully give you the confidence that we are all working towards a common aim: creating a framework for secure environments that deliver all the same benefits to you and your business, but in a safe and responsible manner that protects the safety and well-being of all participants.

As each of our market-leading events is different, each will have its own specific guidelines for attendance and participation. We are updating this guidance and risk assessments daily with our event partners across the industry and as the finer detail emerges we will share this shortly.
As we all work together to create this gold standard framework for future events, a sincere ‘thank you’ must go to everyone who has been working with us over the past few months.
